Gerard used to be the painfully shy and anxious joke-writer for a very well known British comedian until he found himself in the standup spotlight, complete with paralysing fear, wild panic and all the jokes the comedian didn’t buy. The rest, as they say, is history. Except history is usually written by the winners.

The hyperkinetic British-Canadian standup and storyteller invites you to experience the vicarious thrill of telling jokes on stage to tens, hundreds, thousands and then back to tens of people, all without the sleepless nights and crippling self-doubt in this true story about fragile egos, low impulse control and the best worst comedy gig of all time.

Since 2015, Attention Seeker has won awards and sold out in festivals across the UK, US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand, culminating in an Off-Broadway run which lost just hundreds of dollars. Gerard has also performed at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and in comedy clubs from Barcelona and Dublin to Jerusalem and Singapore. He is currently preparing for the inaugural Moon Fringe in 2020
